CATHOLIC CHARITIES WEST MICHIGAN

God's Kitchen

God's Kitchen

A noontime hot meal is served daily at God’s Kitchen in the Heartside Neighborhood of Grand Rapids. Nourishment and meal-time respite are available to anyone who visits the dining room. Guests are welcomed on a walk-in basis with no questions and no qualifiers.

God’s Kitchen served over 70,000 meals last year to hungry people throughout West Michigan. We are serving people in downtown Grand Rapids as well as sponsored sites throughout West Michigan. Our footprint is the Diocese of Grand Rapids, so food insecurity is being addressed not only in urban locations but in rural ones as well.

Donations to our God’s Kitchen Food Programs are accepted by appointment only. To ensure quality and the safety of our guests, all donations will be subject to agency procedures of accepting/receiving donated food items. To inquire about receiving hours and to schedule a donation drop-off, please call (616) 454-4110 or email jhoyh@ccwestmi.org.

Feeding the hungry

Catholic Charities West Michigan’s food programs are dedicated to addressing the topic of “feeding the hungry.”

Our programs continually evolve and expand to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. The chefs and staff at God’s Kitchen are more than just the people who make and serve the food; they are food security advocates.

We exist not only to feed those who hunger for food but also hunger for hope.
